Christoph Huber
Between 1991 and 1998 Huber was the co-organiser of the international jazz festival Saalfelden.
In 1993 he organised the symposium, The Situation of Contemporary Music on the Example of Jazz, in Saalfelden.
In autumn 1993 he became the artistic and organisational director of the jazz and music club Porgy & Bess in Vienna (together with Mathias Rüegg, Renald Deppe, and Gabriele Mazic).
From 1995 to 1998 he was the artistic director of Short Cuts festival in Saalfelden.
In 1998, he organised the Good News from Russia festival in Vienna; in 1998–1999 he was responsible for the artistic concept of the Grabenfesttage together with Christoph Cech.
In 1999, he came up with the programme for his ‘The Great American Songbook’ concert series which accompanied the Amerika exhibition at the Belvedere in Vienna. In both 1999 and 2000, he led the programme for the ‘Invoice’ concert series for Summer Days in Vienna.
Between September 1999 and May 2000, he was the artistic and organising director of the concerto series ‘30A’ in the Radiokulturhaus.
In summer 2000 he founded a jazz club at the Kunsthalle in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier.
Starting in December 2000, he was the director of the ‘new’ Porgy & Bess, based in the space of the legendary Rondell-Kino in the centre of Vienna.
