QUESTS by Nataliia Lebedeva feat. Laura Marti

QUESTS, a musical initiative by Nataliia Lebedeva, presents music by Frédéric Chopin in a variety of different ways and unexpected jazz arrangements. QUESTS is original and experimental in its sound, which besides Chopin’s music incorporates the poems by Polish poet and his contemporary, Adam Mickiewicz. The band’s line-up: Nataliia Lebedeva – keyboards, arrangements; Laura Marti – vocals; Viktor Pavelko – saxophone; Yakiv Tsvetinskyi – trumpet; Ihor Zakus – bass; Oleh Markov – drums.

 

Nataliia Lebedeva is a teacher and accompanist at the Jazz Department of the Reinhold Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music. She is a pianist, band leader, composer, arranger; she has been stage band leader of the O’Keshkin Jazz Festival 2010-2014, and member of the jury of the All-Ukrainian Performance Jazz Competition 2017-2020. She took part in numerous international festivals and concerts in Ukraine and abroad.

 

Laura Marti is a jazz singer, composer, lyricist, and teacher. Marti communicates through music in six different languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, Portuguese, Armenian, and French. Laura Marti participated in many jazz festivals, such as: Alfa Jazz Fest, Jazz-Bez, Za-Jazz Fest, Jazz Koktebel, Art-Jazz Cooperation, Che-Jazz Open, Mek Azg and Mek Mshakujt in Armenia, and so on.
